    <p>The tester is a <strong>runbook, not an app</strong> — the runtime is the AI calling three eRegistrations interfaces (DS for the file lifecycle, GDB for the registry, BPA to read the form and its rules) in sequence. There is no backend, no browser, no extension. It converges four earlier attempts that all failed the same ways, and every rule in it exists to kill one of those failures.</p>
    <p>Its single, stubborn principle: <strong>a service passes only when the database holds the correct rows</strong> — the right certificate, the linked records by foreign key, the real persisted file binaries — never because a page rendered or a workflow reached the end. That database read-back is the entire definition of a pass.</p>

    <h2>What's new</h2>
    <p>On top of that database-is-the-judge core, the recent additions are:</p>
    <ul class="clean">
      <li><strong>Headless coverage discipline.</strong> Because the tester drives the form over the API, it doesn't run the form's in-browser logic (copied fields, formulas, grid counters). Anything those compute stays empty, and anything gated on them silently never fires. The skill now preflights those fields and either fills them or honestly reports the branch as <em>not exercised</em>.</li>
      <li><strong>A three-state verdict — pass / fail / not exercised.</strong> Coverage is measured against the <em>full</em> list of branches and desks, never against whatever the run happened to touch, so a "pass" can't quietly hide a skipped branch.</li>
      <li><strong>A test-side gate.</strong> Before calling any empty record or error a service defect, the tester must rule out its own test pollution — an impossible value it typed, a hidden field it overwrote, duplicates its own re-runs left, or a bot that lives on a different role. This stops it from reporting its own mistakes as bugs.</li>
      <li><strong>Silent authentication.</strong> It never re-authenticates per step and never opens a browser login — it relies on the profile's silent token refresh and retries once on an error.</li>

    <h2>The "all desks self-approve" problem — and the fix</h2>
    <p class="reading">This is the most common symptom: the file sails straight through and every officer desk auto-approves, so a "54 of 54 passed" is really 53 desks <em>skipped</em>. It has one root cause.</p>

    <h3>How this tester closes it</h3>
    <ol class="steps">
      <li><b>Register the test entity first.</b> If the applicant's identifier isn't in the bitácora, it never flows into the file and the whole service auto-skips. This is step zero.</li>
      <li><b>Generate "force-stop" data.</b> For every registration, set its activation fields, and set <em>every determinant's target field to the value that turns its desk on</em>. This is the actual switch — it is what makes the file stop at each desk instead of self-approving.</li>
      <li><b>Pre-fill the browser-derived gating fields.</b> The field that activates a registration is often <em>computed in the browser</em> — a grid-row count, a value copied from another field. On an API submit it stays empty, so the desk never activates and it looks exactly like self-approval. Trace those fields up front and set their values directly.</li>
      <li><b>Assert the stop at each desk; treat an auto-skip as a defect.</b> At every desk the tester checks (three ways) that the file actually parked there. A desk that should have stopped but was skipped is recorded as a defect to diagnose — never papered over with a "jump to role". So a green run can no longer hide a skipped desk.</li>

      It's almost always steps 2–3: the payload isn't activating the registrations or satisfying the desk determinants — most often because a browser-computed gating field (a registration count, a copied value) is empty on the headless submit. Map each desk's activating determinant first, set those exact fields, pre-fill any browser-derived counts they depend on, then assert the park at each desk so any remaining skip surfaces as a defect rather than a false pass.
